Tasks and terms of reference
The dean of the college is primarily responsible for implementing the general policy of the university and managing its scientific, administrative and financial affairs, and in particular, he undertakes the following tasks and powers:
Implementing the approved university laws, regulations and systems.
Representing the college in front of all relevant bodies, bodies and persons, and signing contracts on behalf of the university in a manner that does not exceed the provisions of the Yemeni Universities Law and its executive regulations.
Inviting the assemblies and committees formed in accordance with the provisions of the Yemeni Universities Law and its executive regulations for the meeting, and he has the right to present to it whatever matters he deems fit within his jurisdiction.
Submit an annual report to the College Council on education affairs, scientific research and all other aspects of the colleges’ activities, and submit it after its approval to the Supreme Council.
Suspension of the study in whole or in part, provided that the decision is presented to the College Council within three days at most after its adoption. If the College Council approves the decision to stop the study, the Supreme Council must be informed immediately of this decision.
Any other tasks or functions stipulated in the Yemeni Universities Law and its executive regulations or the regulations issued pursuant thereto.
